Der "Hohe Weg" durchquert die Lösshügel der Johannesbergen. Hier, an der Hügelkuppe, trocknen die Trauben schnell ab, bekommen am meisten Sonne und bleiben lange gesund.

Duft nach reifem Apfel, zarten Ananas- und Honigmelonennoten, ganz tief im Glas kandierte Orangenzesten und Mandeln. Komplex, vollmundig, feine Säurestruktur. Im Geschmack weißer Apfel, Ananas und Melone, mineralisch-salzig im Nachhall. Lang und kräftig im Abgang.

The single vineyard “Hoher Weg” (high path) leads over the hump of Johannesbergen. Since the wind is almost always blowing up here, the grapes dry quickly in the morning. Botrytis doesn’t stand a chance, grape ingredients become concentrated. We do not harvest until the grapes are deeply mature.
Ripe apple and subtle pineapple mingle with blossom honey, candied orange zest notes and almonds. Multifaced on the palate with an elegant, juicy acid structure. The complex finish features apple, pineapple, melon and delicate spicy notes. Tremendous potential for further development and aging.
